Newcastle City Marina is a popular destination for sailors, boaters and visitors, offering the unique opportunity to moor in the heart of the city, alongside hosting a series of exciting water-based activities year-round.
Situated on the bustling Quayside between the Tyne Bridge and Millennium Bridge, the Marina is located in one of Newcastle’s most famous neighbourhoods – an area known for its iconic views, rich heritage and fantastic collection of restaurants, bars and cultural venues – and is just a stone’s throw from its vibrant city centre.

All vessels berthing at the marina will be subject to the following charges (valid from 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025).
Daily charges (overnight stay)
- For a vessel up to 5 metres in length£30

- From 11 – 13.9 metres£50.50
- From 14 – 24 metres£65.50

Please Note:
- All Owners must agree to adhere to Newcastle City Marina’s Terms and Conditions
- On arrival at the Marina, all Owners MUST complete and sign a Berthing Confirmation Form.
- On arrival at the Marina, all Owners MUST provide evidence of third party liability insurance to no less than £3,000,000 cover, and where appropriate, employer’s liability cover to at least the statutory minimum
- Newcastle City Marina can only permit berthing for vessels up to 26m (85ft) in length

Marina events
Newcastle City Marina has played host to a number of exciting events in the past including Historic Harbour Day, the Nao Victoria floating museum and currently acts as a departure point for CBK Adventure’s Quayside kayak tours, alongside hosting the city’s much-loved annual NE1 Newcastle Dragon Boat Race.
