Situated between the Tyne Bridge and Millennium Bridge, Newcastle City Marina provides 130 meters of floating pontoons running adjacent to the Quay wall. Yachts up to 26m LOA can be accommodated.
All berths have access to electricity and water.
The marina features a pin-code secure gate entry and is also covered by a state of the art, Police enabled, 24hr CCTV system.
Access to the marina is by the central security gate and a security code is provided to visiting vessels ensuring that only those using the marina can gain access to the pontoons.
NE1 Street Rangers patrol the marina at regular intervals between 8am & 8pm and have a direct radio link to the city centre Police.
Electricity & Water
Electricity and water connection is included in the cost of berthing.
Water: Fresh water is available on all pontoons via the utility hubs, using a standard hose union connector. Please note that we do not provide hoses, you will need to use your own.
Electricity: A 16 amp 230 volt supply is available as standard on the pontoons. Only approved waterproof sockets and cables may be used.
NE1 Street Rangers
Our enthusiastic team of NE1 Street Rangers will help you get tied up alongside and will offer up to the minute advice on all that’s going on in town. They will also take payments and provide other helpful information and advice.
More generally the Rangers are on hand to:
Meet and Greet
Whether offering advice on where to eat, shop and socialise, or simply giving directions, the Rangers are never far away to ensure people are making the most of their time in Newcastle.
Eyes and Ears
Working with businesses, the Police and other organisations in an ‘eyes and ears’ capacity, the Rangers help to maintain low levels of anti-social behaviour and crime in the city centre.
